Andy Bowers has been appointed as Special Counsel by the Ohio Attorney General for the purpose of collecting outstanding debts owed to the Ohio Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC). As Special Counsel, Mr. Bowers is authorized to act on behalf of the Attorney General's Office in matters involving the recovery of unpaid premiums, assessments, penalties, and other obligations related to workers' compensation coverage in the State of Ohio.
This includes initiating legal proceedings, negotiating payment arrangements, and taking other appropriate actions to ensure compliance with state law. This appointment is part of the Ohio Attorney General's ongoing efforts to ensure that all employers and responsible parties meet their financial obligations to the BWC — which helps protect Ohio's workforce and maintain the integrity of the workers' compensation system.
